Things were so bad for the San Francisco 49ers that even a strong defensive effort  to counter the Green Bay Packers could not bore any fruits. The Packers carried their unbeaten record to San Francisco and won, 17-3.

In Levi’s Stadium, the crowd dramatically reduced in the 2nd half as memories of amazing victory in Week 1 against Minnesota faded continuously.

Having lost three successive games, the 49ers can only blame Quarter Colin Kaepernick who threw four interceptions last week that were returned for touchdowns.  This week he failed to get the team moving. It was the 3rd time in four games that he was unsuccessful in breaking 200 yards passing, and he got sacked six times.

“ Now in order to fix things we must go back to work,”  said Kaepernick after unsatisfactory performance. “ We should find our rhythm.”

Among the 49ers fans, there was hope that  a game against the Packers could rejuvenate the young passer. In previous games, Kaepernick had performed well, rushing for more than 100 yards and throwing more than 400 yards. This time Don Capers, defensive coordinator of Green Bay, finally figured out how to stop him.

The loss will brings speculation if the team might look for another solution at quarterback. The team will have to consider if they will have to part ways with Kaepernick after this season. Nevertheless, it reasonable for to one to wonder if Tonsula would bench the player who had  previously brought victory to the team.

Tonsula has not given any signs that change is imminent. He told reporters that “ Collins is our quarterback.” While at post-game news conference, he defended Kaepernick, and said “ I won’t even discuss him. That has not crossed my mind.”

After the game, Tomsula insisted that his team was not going to give up.

“ Do not go around these things,” he told reporters. “Go through them. Lock you jaw and move forward.”

For many players, swapping shirt with Christiano Ronaldo is irresistible, but not Anton Tinnerholm. Following their Champion league defeat to Real Madrid. Tinnerholm insisted that his club’s jersey is “finest”.

Though the full-back tried his best to stop Ronaldo from scoring twice in their Group A meeting, the Portuguese goal machine scored and joined Raul as top scorer in the club.

Tinnerholm played a role in making it tough for Ronaldo to score. He said that they had planned to make it hard for Madrid when they at Sweden.

“Ronaldo wasn’t visible but he managed to score two goals. That is an indication he is good”, Tinnerholm said.

Later when Tinnerholm was asked if he had exchanged his shirt with his opponent, he said: “No, Malmo shirt is the finest.”

According to Spanish club. Christiano Ronaldo scored his 500th and 501st goals while playing in Sweden. He passed Raul’s 323 goals mark.  He scored in the 29th and 90th, making his club defeat Malmo, which played with 10 players from the 78th minute. Malmo’s player, Yoshimar Yotum was sent off when he was given a second yellow card.

“I am very happy,” Ronaldo said. “First, my team has won. But let me not lie to you. I wanted so much to beat record of Raul.”

Ronaldo revealed that Raul had sent him a laudatory message asking him to “score 300 more”. He denied suggestions that he intends to leave Real Madrid in the short term and possibly return to Manchester United.

The 30-year- old said “My future is at Real Madrid. I want to win and feel good here. But as I always say, there is no person that knows the future. Let us see what will happen.”

The game left  the Portuguese forward player with 82 goals Champion league record, 5 goals more than Messi.

Ben Roethlisberger   got an injury on his left knee yesterday during N.F.S week 3. Immediately after the incident, he was declared out and was replaced by Michael Vick.

The degree of the injury has not been determined. However, after the game, Coach Tomlin said that Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger was being examined.

The extent of the injury has yet to be determined, but Coach Mike Tomlin said after the game that Roethlisberger was being evaluated.

The Steelers won the game 12-6, but if Roethlisberger would not play for the most of the season, it will be Pyrrhic win.

Before Roethlisberger got injured, the Steelers were leading 9-3. Rams Safety Mark Baron ran toward Roethlisberger whose knee looked hyperextend. He remained on the ground for quite an extended time before he was taken off the playing ground on a cart. He was taken into the locker room to undergo further testing.

“I tripped over a player’s feet and hit his leg on my way down,” Baron reported after the game when it was asked what had happened on the play.

If the hit is determined to be an unlawful play, it will have consequences for Baron. No penalty was called and Tomlin said he did not have a problem with the play. However, officials of the league will have to determine if he broke the rule that states:

“A rushing defender is not allowed to forcibly hit the knee area of a passer who has one or both legs on the ground. It is not a violation of the rule if the defender is blocked and has no chance to avoid the passer.”

Vick, who was Jets player in the last season, was signed in to backup Roethlisberger. Vick, a former Pro Bowler, has no winning record for the last five years.  When he was signed in, it was uncertain if he would offer enough production to clear up his complicated legal history.

Red Bull Racing, the famous Formula One team, has been experiencing uncompetitive and disappointing seasons since 2013.

Red Bull Racing, the famous Formula One team, has been experiencing uncompetitive and disappointing seasons since 2013. During this season, “the Austrian squad” obtained no victories, no pole positions and some podiums such as the one in Hungary. Mainly, these poor results are a consequence of the uncompetitive Renault engines. Furthermore, after the transfer of Vettel to Ferrari, the absence of an excellent driver has concretely reduced the competitiveness of the same Red Bull.

Obviously, this team is seriously considering some fascinating and hazardous investments for the future to fight again for the World Championship. A first choice may be a secret bid for Fernando Alonso, the Spanish champion who actually drives for the very awful and slow McLaren. Alonso is concretely losing his motivation during this season, because McLaren is one of the least competitive teams on the grid. According to grandprix.com “Alonso was spotted coming out of the Red Bull motor home at a recent race, and now the Italian insider Leo Turrini says he has heard a whisper from within the 34-year-old’s own camp that a Ferrari-powered car might tempt him next year”(1).

There are other factors which underline the existence of this possibility. It seems that his contract for McLaren may include a secret clause. This clause should allow Fernando to move elsewhere in 2016, in case of lack of competitiveness by the same McLaren. Always according to grandprix.com “McLaren supremo Ron Dennis has insisted the Spaniard is on a fixed contract for 2015, 2016 and 2017 without exit clauses, but Italian and Spanish media sources this weekend have insisted those clauses do exist”(2).

This driver may also leave his current team due to financial and economical problems. In fact, it’s evident that McLaren is losing sponsorships and fundings because of its disastrous results. Consequently, it may not have the sufficient budget to cover his full pay-scale for the next season. At the moment, Alonso is one of the most paid drivers in Formula 1. In fact, according to Total Sportek he has an “annual salary of $40 million (£25.5m) a year”(3).

Red Bull is planning to recover its competitiveness thanks to other courageous and brave choices. After the breakdown of negotiations with Mercedes, its team principal Chris Horner is going to consider the Ferrari engines for the next season. According to GPUpdate.net Mr. Horner said “It’s probably a Ferrari or nothing; It really is as simple as that; It’s a Ferrari engine or… at the moment Mercedes won’t supply, and there’s no other option”(4). Furthermore, Red Bull has already interrupted its deal with Renault for 2016 and shouldn’t have any problem in changing its engine supplier.

Lastly, Maurizio Arrivabene, the Ferrari team boss released some positive statements about Red Bull. In fact, according to Sky Sports he said “Red Bull have big names, with Adrian Newey as chief designer, and it is easy to think if you give them the engine they will build a scary chassis, which means they will be really competitive; This doesn’t mean tomorrow morning we will give our engines to Red Bull but I don’t see any problem to give our engine to any other team or be scared of the competition before they start”(5).
