A child losing the battle with cancer asks his dad to take a photo before dying in his arms

This 7-year-old asked his grandparents and his parents to take a picture shortly before he left his last breath. His parents decided to share these valuable images in order to show the world the first symptoms of this rare cancer. Cancer causes enormous physical and emotional pain to an adult, think about a 7-year-old child.

Braiden was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of two years Braiden’s parents, Steph and Wayne, shared the photos to inform other parents about the symptoms of this disease. “I just want to get as many people as possible. If your child is weak, has a high fever, and does not eat, go for a blood test immediately, “said Steph.

Braiden was diagnosed with neuroblastoma at the age of two. Every year in the UK, about 100 children are diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a rare type of cancer that usually affects children under five years old. One of the most common symptoms is swelling in the abdomen, which causes pain in the stomach of the child.

Despite Braiden’s therapies, including 11 types of chemotherapy, stem cell transplantation, radiotherapy and immunotherapy in America, he died two days after his transfer to a health care center, last September.
Braiden asked his grandparents and his parents shortly before he die to take their last photo.

Steph remembers Braiden awakening from “choking” on the morning of the day he died. “I called the nurse and told me it was time. I woke Wayne. I wanted to pick him up but I could not put it on Wayne’s knees. Wayne was embracing him and I was next to him and holding his hand, “she said.

Despite having tumors in his jaw, he could hardly speak because of the pain he felt as he opened his mouth, little Braiden asked his grandparents and his parents to take pictures shortly before he left his last breath. “Suddenly he called his grandmother and grandfather as if he knew they were there that day.” she added.

His pictures show the last moments of Braiden in his father’s arms at Derian House Hospital in Lancashire. “I could not see him die. When he died, we had Braiden’s body at home so that our relatives can see him for the last time, Steph said. Steph has two other sons, Tyler and Kody, and is pregnant in her fourth child who is a baby girl.
Steph is currently waiting for a girl who thinks she is a “gift” from Braiden.

“Braiden sent her out of the sky – he always wanted a little sister,” she said. Though he had endured much pain, the courage and determination of the boy appears in his eyes through these images. “Braiden, my little hero, will always be in my mind. He was very handsome. In fact, he could smile through his pain and suffering, “Geraldine Newman commented on Facebook when she learned the story and saw the moving pictures of Braiden.
