Adam Driver Reportedly Won't Return for HBO's 'Girls' Revival
HBO's announcement that Lena Dunham and most of the original cast are coming back for a five-episode run made no mention of Driver, fueling reports he's sitting this one out.
Adam Driver is reportedly not part of HBO's upcoming "Girls" revival, according to multiple entertainment outlets. HBO announced last month that creator and star Lena Dunham and nearly all of the original core cast will return for a limited five-episode run, with production set to begin next year — but the announcement made no mention of Driver, who played Adam Sackler on the original series.
Dunham wrote in her recent memoir, "Famesick," that Driver was difficult on set during filming, a detail several outlets have linked to his absence from the revival. Neither Driver nor HBO has publicly addressed his status, and his non-return has not been officially confirmed — only inferred from the casting announcement, per E! News.
