B2K's Raz B and Wife Mona Li Mourn Sudden Death of Their 3-Month-Old Son
The R&B singer and his wife announced the unexpected death of their infant son, Astro, just months after his birth, as B2K's planned December tour dates continue as scheduled.

B2K singer De'Mario "Raz B" Thornton and his wife, Mona Li Thornton, are mourning the sudden death of their infant son, Astro Monte Thornton, the couple announced this week.
Astro was born in May 2026 and was roughly three months old at the time of his death; no cause of death has been publicly disclosed. He was the couple's second child together — they also share an older son, Versai Carter Thornton, according to TMZ.

The family has asked for privacy as they grieve. Despite the loss, B2K's previously scheduled December tour dates — including stops in Birmingham, Manchester and London as part of the group's RnB Winter Ball tour — are still moving forward, according to a separate TMZ report on the tour's status.
Raz B, a founding member of the early-2000s R&B group B2K alongside Omarion, Lil Fizz and J-Boog, has largely kept his personal life focused on his family in recent years. News of Astro's death was also confirmed by The Grio, which noted the couple had shared Astro's birth publicly just months earlier.
The couple announced Astro's arrival in May to an outpouring of well-wishes from fans who have followed Raz B's family life closely in recent years. Complex noted that details surrounding the circumstances of Astro's death had not been released as of Thursday, and the family has not indicated whether a cause will be shared publicly.
What's next: the family has not indicated whether further details about Astro's death will be shared, and B2K has not commented publicly beyond confirming its December tour plans remain unchanged.
