Hila Klein, co-creator of the YouTube and podcast empire H3H3 Productions, announced on Instagram in late October that she and husband Ethan Klein had separated after she said he admitted to a six-month affair. The H3 Podcast went on indefinite hiatus in the aftermath.

Hila described the situation as starting with what Ethan initially characterized as a kiss before he eventually acknowledged it had become what she called "emotional cheating," adding that she did not know its full extent. Ethan reposted her statement rather than issuing a separate rebuttal, saying Hila was "the victim" and that he supported her, while asking for the family's privacy. According to Tubefilter, Ethan has since moved to give up all ownership and financial stakes in H3H3, Teddy Fresh, Teddy Glow and any other joint venture from which he could continue to profit. The H3 production crew said they had unanimously agreed to stop working with him.

A divorce filing has not been confirmed as of this report; outlets covering the split have described it as a separation rather than finalized divorce proceedings.
