A federal jury in Los Angeles found rapper Lil Durk not guilty on all charges Friday in a murder-for-hire trial over a 2022 shooting that targeted rival rapper Quando Rondo, according to the Associated Press.

Durk, 33 — the Grammy-winning Chicago artist behind the hit "All My Life" — was acquitted of conspiracy, stalking resulting in death and murder for hire after jurors deliberated for three days, according to CNN.

A Feud That Turned Deadly

Prosecutors alleged Durk paid to have Quando Rondo killed after a member of Rondo's entourage fatally shot rapper King Von — a close friend of Durk's and a member of his Only the Family collective — outside an Atlanta nightclub in 2020. According to prosecutors, a group of men flew to Los Angeles in August 2022 using funds provided by Durk, tracked Rondo and his crew, and opened fire on his Escalade near the Beverly Center shopping mall.

Rondo survived the shooting, but his 24-year-old cousin, Saviay'a Robinson, was killed in the attack. Durk's co-defendants, Deandre Wilson and David Lindsey, were convicted of conspiracy to commit stalking, stalking using a dangerous weapon and stalking resulting in death — even as the jury cleared Durk of every charge against him.

The verdict brings an end to one of hip-hop's highest-profile criminal cases in recent years, one that had loomed over Durk's career since his 2023 arrest. Durk has not publicly commented since the verdict was read.

The case underscores how the long-running rivalry between Durk's Only the Family collective and Rondo's circle, which traces back to King Von's 2020 death, continued to generate violence and legal fallout years later.
