Paramount+ has renewed its crime drama "MobLand" for a third season, confirming Thursday that Tom Hardy will return as fixer Harry Da Souza — officially closing the book on months of tabloid speculation that he had been pushed out amid friction with the show's writer and showrunner.

The renewal, announced two weeks ahead of the Season 2 premiere on September 18, brings back the show's marquee cast intact: Hardy alongside Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren as crime-family patriarch and matriarch Conrad and Maeve Harrigan, according to Deadline.

Reports had circulated for months that Hardy clashed with writer, showrunner and executive producer Jez Butterworth during Season 2 production, fueling speculation he might not return.
