"Saturday Night Live" returns from a two-week hiatus tonight with a lineup built for the holiday: actor Inde Navarrette hosting for the first time, with singer Gracie Abrams back as musical guest. The episode airs at 11:30 p.m. ET on NBC and streams live on Peacock.

Navarrette was named to the show's Season 52 hosting slate back in September alongside names like Jalen Brunson and Dakota Johnson, but producers specifically slotted her for the Halloween episode, according to Variety's reporting on the season's host lineup. She broke out this year in the horror film "Obsession" and has since been cast as Rogue in an upcoming X-Men film, a casting note that made her a fitting fit for the network's spookiest night of the year.

A second trip to Studio 8H for Abrams

Abrams is making her second appearance on the show as musical guest, following a prior stop earlier in her career. She's touring behind her third studio album, "Daughter from Hell," released in July 2026, which has kept her near-constantly on the road and in the press this fall.

A FITTING HOST FOR THE SPOOKIEST NIGHT OF THE YEAR

In a promo for the episode, Navarrette leaned into the horror association while insisting her breakout film is better understood as a twisted romantic comedy than a straight scare picture — a tension she said she's embracing rather than fighting as she steps into her first hosting gig. The show has leaned on topical cast members and sketches tied to the midterm elections in recent weeks, and tonight's episode will likely mix Halloween bits with material pegged to Tuesday's vote.

"SNL" goes dark again after tonight before returning Nov. 7 with comedian Druski hosting; a musical guest for that episode hasn't been announced yet.
