Dolly Parton's estate has named her niece, Danielle Parton, as its new brand ambassador, announcing the role in an Instagram Reel on October 22. Parton died on August 25 at age 80.

Danielle, 50, is the daughter of Dolly's brother Bobby Lee Parton. She works as a commercial pilot, served in the U.S. National Guard, and started her own moonshine brand near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, according to NewsNation.

"I Won't Try to Speak for Her"

In announcing the role, Danielle said she would help publicly support the estate's business operations and share stories about her aunt's life — while making clear she isn't trying to replace her.

I WON'T TRY TO SPEAK FOR MY AUNT

That's how she framed the role, saying she instead wants to highlight the people who continue to carry on Dolly's work, according to Yahoo Entertainment.

The two shared what family described as a "special family bond" — Dolly even gave a speech at Danielle's military retirement ceremony in 2025, a detail family members have pointed to as evidence of how close the two were.

A Family Divided Elsewhere

The appointment lands amid real turbulence inside the Parton estate. Nephew Bryan Seaver was fired as Dolly's head of security over alleged threats made toward her manager, which he has denied, and the resulting legal dispute between Seaver and the estate remains unresolved, according to AOL.

The estate has not said whether Danielle's new public role is connected to the ongoing dispute with Seaver, or whether it signals a broader restructuring of who speaks for the Parton family business going forward. Danielle has not publicly commented on the Seaver matter.
