Anne Hathaway let her castmates have the spotlight in London this week — because she's currently glowing from somewhere else entirely.

The very pregnant 43-year-old Oscar winner skipped the UK premiere of her new Colleen Hoover adaptation "Verity," held Thursday at London's Curzon Mayfair, opting instead to knock out press interviews in New York City the same day, dressed head-to-toe in black as she left her hotel, according to Just Jared. Hathaway announced in June that she's expecting her third child with husband Adam Shulman, joking on Instagram that "we're calling this one a surprise."

Standing in for her across the pond were co-stars Dakota Johnson, 36, who wore a lace dress, and Josh Hartnett, 48, who brought along his wife, Tamsin Egerton, for the red carpet. The trio fronts the twisty thriller, based on Hoover's bestselling 2018 novel, about a struggling writer (Johnson) hired by a grieving husband (Hartnett) to finish his ailing wife's (Hathaway) book series — only to unearth a manuscript full of dark secrets. Michael Showalter directs from a script by Nick Antosca, with Hathaway also producing.

"Verity" hits theaters October 2, and Hathaway has been doing double duty promoting the steamy adaptation while noticeably showing. She's previously discussed the production's more unhinged moments, including one improvised beat that made the final cut, in an interview with Hola! earlier in the week. Fans on social media were quick to note the baby bump on full display during her NYC appearances, cheering the star for showing up to work through her third pregnancy rather than skipping press altogether.

With two sons already at home — Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6 — Hathaway hasn't said whether she's expecting a third boy or a girl, keeping at least one secret firmly under wraps as she promotes a movie all about them.
