Rapper Blueface was detained at gunpoint Sunday night after a false 911 call sent Los Angeles County Sheriff's deputies swarming his Santa Clarita seafood restaurant — the second swatting attempt against him in a matter of weeks, according to TMZ.

The rapper, born Johnathan Porter, was livestreaming on Kick from his King of Crabs restaurant with girlfriend Nevaeh Akira and their newborn son when deputies responded to a report of "severe violence" — reportedly a claim that someone matching Blueface's description was inside, armed and dangerous, per Complex. Footage circulating from the stream shows deputies ordering him outside with his hands raised before he was handcuffed on his knees; Akira, holding the couple's baby, was also questioned before being allowed back inside.

Deputies searched the location and found no evidence any crime had occurred. Everyone detained, including Blueface, was released without charges.

Cops confirm it was a hoax

Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Sergeant Josh Nemeth confirmed there was nothing to the call, telling reporters the investigation turned up nothing criminal at the scene, a finding also reported by MyNewsLA.

"Deputies responded, completed an investigation and determined no crime occurred at the location."

It's the second time this month someone has called in a fake emergency targeting Blueface mid-livestream. Weeks earlier, sheriff's deputies were dispatched to his home after he was seen on stream kicking a visibly pregnant Akira into a swimming pool — an incident that also drew no charges. Their son, born just days before Sunday's incident and arriving roughly five days early, has already had his name flash across a police blotter before he's out of the newborn stage, as IBTimes UK noted in its writeup of the incident.

Swatting — falsely reporting a violent emergency to trigger an armed police response — has increasingly targeted streamers and public figures broadcasting live, turning ordinary moments into confrontations captured in real time for millions of viewers. No suspect in the call against Blueface has been identified, and the Sheriff's Department has not said whether it's investigating the false report itself as a crime.

For now, Blueface and Akira are back home with their newborn, and no further police action is expected tied to Sunday's incident. Whether authorities pursue whoever placed the hoax call remains an open question.
