Deonte Banks' Pick-Six Seals It as Giants Rout Cardinals to Improve to 3-1
Jameis Winston threw three touchdown passes and Malik Nabers set a season high as New York pulled away at MetLife Stadium.
Jameis Winston threw for three touchdowns and cornerback Deonte Banks turned a fourth-quarter interception into a backbreaking touchdown as the New York Giants pulled away from the Arizona Cardinals, 36-24, on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Winston finished 18-of-29 for 250 yards, spreading the ball around an offense that out-gained Arizona 319 total yards to 270. Wide receiver Malik Nabers set a season high with 112 receiving yards on six catches and a touchdown, while Malachi Fields added two catches for 52 yards and a score of his own.
Banks Breaks It Open
Banks' interception return for a touchdown, to go with four tackles on the day, put the game out of reach in the fourth quarter, according to a box score of the game. New York also dominated time of possession, holding the ball for 32 minutes and 13 seconds to Arizona's 27:47, and was far more efficient through the air, averaging 8.0 yards per pass attempt to the Cardinals' 4.2.
A SEASON-HIGH DAY FOR NABERS AS THE GIANTS PULL AWAY
The win pushes the Giants to 3-1 on the season, while the Cardinals drop to 1-3. New York's defense has now forced a turnover in three straight games, a trend noted among Sunday's Week 4 storylines as the Giants look to build on an encouraging start.
New York returns home next week looking to build on the momentum, while Arizona heads back to the drawing board after dropping to one win through four games.
