A Qantas flight attendant is being showered with online praise after a passenger filmed him gently rocking a crying infant to sleep during a short-haul flight from Brisbane to Mount Isa on October 12.

The clip, reported by Aviation A2Z, racked up more than 220,000 views within about a day of being posted, with commenters praising the crew member's patience.

The moment stood out against a string of less flattering airline viral videos this month, offering a rare feel-good entry in the genre.
