Martha Stewart Is Taking Over Your Netflix Queue This Week
The 85-year-old lifestyle icon debuts both a cooking series and a video podcast on Netflix within 24 hours of each other.
Martha Stewart is claiming real estate all over Netflix this week. The streamer confirmed Monday that "The Martha Stewart Podcast" is moving to video on the service starting Wednesday, expanding its exclusive podcast partnership with iHeartMedia, while her Emmy-nominated series "Martha Cooks" begins streaming a day earlier, on Tuesday.
The podcast's first Netflix episode features Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, with bestselling author Harlan Coben and producer Benny Blanco lined up next. Stewart joins a wave of iHeart hosts — including Kate and Oliver Hudson — getting the video-podcast treatment as Netflix leans further into unscripted talk content.
For a lifestyle mogul who built an empire on precise timing, launching two shows back-to-back is very on brand.
